JORIS VAN VELZEN

Joris van Velzen hails from a small village in the Netherlands. He studied linguistics before uprooting to the USSR in 1989, where he first worked as a correspondent, and then sold his soul to the devil and moved into commercial photography. Based in Berlin since 2007, Joris spends his time photographing both things and people (provided they don’t move too fast). After shooting advertising almost exclusively for the last 25 years, Joris has started to pick up his camera more frequently for personal projects, both digital and on film.
